Filippo Sorcinelli’s magazine has been launched in Milano in April. The creator of Unum fragrances has always been one artist to be respected for his words as much as for his fragrances. Taylor for the popes, the Italian artist questions life and perfumery with a unique personality that expresses itself in the first issue of his brand new magazine launched during Milano Design Week.

IL PREZZO DELLA VERITÀ

Il sacrificio attraversa tutta la mia vicenda creativa e ne costituisce una delle leggi più profonde, dal momento che ogni opera degna di verità nasce entro una disciplina severa, nutrita di rinuncia, di concentrazione e di fedeltà a una forma più alta del semplice desiderio. 

Nulla Giunge a una piena intensità senza passare attraverso una prova che seleziona, purifica e conduce il lavoro verso ilsuo nucleo essenziale.In questa dimensionericonosco anche unsignificato sacro, legato all’idea antica di un atto consacrato, interamente orientato da un’intenzione assoluta. 

Il lavoro artistico assume allora il carattere di un’offerta, entro la quale si consegnano tempo, energia e quiete personale affinché l’opera acquisti densità,rilievo e consistenza dello spirito. Il fare creativo supera la sfera dell’esecuzione e si inscrive in un ordine più alto,nel quale l’azione trova la propria giustificazione nella serietà del fine.

THE PRICE OF TRUTH

Sacrifice permeates my entire creative journey and constitutes one of its most profound laws, since every work worthy of truth is born within a severe discipline, nourished by renunciation, concentration, and fidelity to a form higher than simple desire.

Nothing reaches full intensity without undergoing a test that selects, purifies, and guides the work toward its essential core. In this dimension, I also recognize a sacred meaning, linked to the ancient idea of ​​a consecrated act, entirely guided by an absolute intention.

Artistic work thus takes on the character of an offering, within which time, energy, and personal peace are surrendered so that the work acquires density, relief, and spiritual consistency. Creative activity transcends the sphere of execution and is part of a higher order, in which action finds its justification in the seriousness of the goal.
