As you probably know, our lady is mad about sneakers that look like gloves, slip-on trail shoes… and today we’ve left Antwerp for Copenhagen, where she’s heading to discover the new collaboration between Asics and Cecilie Bahnsen, the Danish womenswear designer we admire for her unique, understated vision of femininity.

Looking at Bahnsen’s iconic pieces, we wonder how many eras her heroines have traversed without being confined to any specific period.

The new trainers created by the Japanese sportswear brand and the Danish designer are a reinterpretation of the GEL-QUANTUM 360 I shoe. A slip-on, laceless design lends lightness and modernity to women’s sportswear and footwear. “Beneath its simplicity,” explains Cecilie, “lies a careful balance that leaves no room for hiding, but only for the honesty of form and the quiet precision of function.” She has incorporated her iconic floral motif into the shoe’s design.
